Top 5 reasons to hate high school

Okay, so even though high school hasn't officially started yet. These are some of the things I think I'm going to hate about high school/already do hate about high school.

5. Its different then Jr/Middle School.
New people, new teachers. Its a change, an awkward one at that. You have new strange classes, and new hallways and class rooms to learn. Its leaving your happy zone.

4. Its HUGE!!
Jr/Middle school was just so familiar, and now there are all these freaky tall Junior and senior kids who are intimidating. Then there is the actual school size, before when all your friends had classes with you. Now suddenly none of your friends are in your classes, and you have to make all new friends.

3. Everything is a competition.
To be the best in your class, from being the most popular, to being the best at things like theater, singing, music, sports, etc. Then you have to try out to get in things, and if you don't make it, then suddenly your left out of everything.

2. Time.
Ha ha, that's funny. Having time. If your not doing hours of homework, then your doing sports, or music, or stuff like that. Also your trying to make time to hang out with your friends who are also doing a ton of stuff, so some people are left out. Then they miss out on a bunch of inside jokes, and its just strange. Especially if your that person who is missing everything.

1. Dating!
The word is self is awkward. Your friends are all pairing off or flirting off with each other all the time. It just not not like it was before. You have to worry about how you look all the time. Then are so consumed with liking someone that that's all you think about. Then it makes it strange for your friends, who are just trying to have fun with you but you just want to talk about your crush/boy/girl friend.
Then there is love triangles, and (especially girls) fight about liking the same people which can destroy friends ships, and so then it makes for DRAMA! Oh then people tell secrets about who they like, and so that just makes people feel left out.

So what are your top 5 hates about high school? Are they different? The same? Just leave a comment!

I see your points there. I like to look at it another way. I find it very exciting to go to a new place. I like making new friends and keeping in touch with old friends. The seniors are not that intimidating, I have a buch of friends that are seniors. I do not really like the pairing off thing, but had you gone to willowcreek, you would have seen alot more of that, so it is not a surprise to me.

Hmm, I personally find that I am not so excited for the change. But that’s just me.

I guess with the pairing off thing, well of course Lehi had many people who started dating even before 7th grade. I don’t think so much of it is pairing off in general. Mostly my worries are with my friends. Because most of them will be turning 16 this year, Im afraid that my own close and personal friends will start pairing off and ignoring their other friends. Which could only lead to awkwardness and people feeling left out because they are not dating someone.

Do you think im over-examining this? Or perhaps are my worries quite possible. My sister who will be a senior this year tells me a lot about what her and her friends do, and this is exactly what happened in her group, except now the couples have all recently broken up, so now the past couples are just ignoring their old boy/girl friend.
